Heard himself speak so his interest was piqued and he moved in a half a step nearer. "How smart are you and, well, what are you made of...and how do you feel anyway?" "Always confused and I guess a bit bruised, more than that I'm not sure I can say." "Are you satisfied at all?" "Well, I wouldn't change a thing, but that's not to say I'm rolling in clover. It's just that I'm afraid that I might blow it even worse if I had the chance again to do it over." So Ever The Optimist got back in bed, but the crowd from the down the block disco filled up the street and made noise in the heat and he thought of his ex in Mount Kisco. "Maybe she's not all that happy these days with that guy from The Hague she was seeing..." He thought of the Fall and the masquerade ball and the day to day dream of just being...being...being... being...
