Romeo's Tune [Download]

From the WNEW/New York, WIOQ/Philadelphia, WCOZ/Boston live broadcast of the November 24, 1979, show at the Palladium in New York City. As Steve states in the liner notes to More Young, Guitar Days, “I remember the ease of taking a cab merely eight blocks north that night from my apartment to the venue. Andy Warhol was backstage before the show, talking with Danny Fields, no doubt making the first of many social stops scheduled for that evening.”

"Romeo’s Tune" was released on Forbert’s second album, “Jackrabbit Slim", in 1979 and was dedicated to the memory of late Supreme Florence Ballard. The single, featuring an alternate version of “Make It All So Real” as the b-side, reached #11 on the Billboard Hot 100 Singles Chart in January 1980.

This live version of “Romeo’s Tune” was officially released in 2002 on More Young, Guitar Days, which also features live versions of “Grand Central Station” and “Oh, Camille” from that same Palladium show.
